Introduction
Meet Remi, an energetic professional of 28 years old that recently joined our engineering team. Previously active in the automotive and turbocharger industry, Remi is now looking forward to further developing himself in a company that focuses on engineering and innovation.
Professional background
After earning his bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, Remi began his career as a test bench engineer at Mitsubishi Turbochargers. In this position he focused on engine and turbocharger testing. Prior to that he completed an internship at KONI where he designed and tested his first shock absorber. This experience further fueled his interest in the design process, from concept to final product. “The position at Dotec combines mechanical engineering, design and software programming which appealed to me enormously. I look forward to the change from a large sized company and living a densely populated area, now going to a small size business in the wide landscape of Friesland”.
Ambitions and expertise.
Remi brings a wide range of skills. At his internship at KONI, he was able to realize and test his own design in 3D. “The process from idea to finished product has given me tremendous insight into project management, monitoring time and overview. These are valuable experiences that I can apply at Dotec,” Remi explains.
In his new role he hopes to further develop his design- and programming skills and emerge as an all-round professional in engineering. “In the short term, I want to refine my design skills and settle in well. In the long term, I hope to really make an impact at Dotec.”
Personal interests and drives
Outside of work, Remi has a lively passion for music and cars. He plays electric guitar and enjoys squash. He spends a lot of time on his car hobby and loves motor racing.
His birthday on April 1st gets him interesting congratulations every year, but he laughs: “It's a surprising day every year!”
Working style and team spirit
Remi describes his working style as result-oriented and creative, always with an eye for the “why” behind choices and actions. He considers self-reflection an essential quality, both in his work and with his colleagues.
Future at Dotec
Remi looks forward to adding value to Dotec and seeing his own projects realized. He welcomes the opportunity to learn from his colleagues: “I hope to learn a lot here and gain new insights - not only about technology, but also about the product and the people around me.”
